Hot October: US provocations directed against Russia put the world on the brink of war
There is the opinion that the "Doomsday" clock started to tick faster. October turned out to be oversaturated with disturbing events.
On October 11, Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, arrived in Moscow from the United States. She met with the deputy heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence and other Russian politicians.
The US Deputy Secretary of State wrote on her messengers about the beautiful Russian autumn, and only briefly mentioned that the conversation about Donbass and Ukraine with the deputy head of the Kremlin administration Dmitry Kozak was "very productive”.
In fact, Nuland was trying to carry out "reconnaissance by combat", declaring in the manner inherent in the Americans "what the United States wants”. Perhaps the United States hoped to cancel the agreements concluded in 2014 on the "Normandy format" in order to cancel the Minsk Agreements that bind the hands of Washington and Kiev.
The plan of American strategists failed. Nuland made it clear that the interests of our country, including in the international arena, as well as the safety of the Russian-speaking population in other countries, have priority for the government of the Russian Federation.
The conversation went somewhat differently than expected in the State Department, and therefore Washington switched to the standard methodology voiced many years ago by a US citizen, Al Capone: "Words and a gun can achieve much more than just words”.
On the third day of Victoria Nuland's stay in Moscow, Kiev carried out a sabotage operation, seizing an observer from the LPR from the Joint Center for Monitoring the Ceasefire Regime who has Russian citizenship on October 13 at 11:45 in the area between the checkpoint of the “Zolotoye” crossing.
In fact, Ukraine has taken another hostage. It is hard to believe that President Zelensky of Ukraine did not coordinate such actions with Washington. Overseas, they already understood that the plan did not work, but decided to continue provocations in the south-east of the subordinate state. After all, the United States does not lose anything from this: the reputation of Kiev has nowhere to fall, and tensions are growing.
Recall that the provocation was carried out by a country calling Russia an "aggressor state" and demanding from “Gazprom" an increase in transit gas supplies beyond the agreements through the territory of Ukraine to Europe. On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week, said that Europe could lose gas supplies through Ukraine, as the Ukrainian gas pipeline could burst with an increase in transit. As is known, the Russian leader never says anything for no reason.
Nuland flew back from Russia, across the ocean, and a day later the American "Chafee" destroyer tried to invade Russian territorial waters in the Sea of Japan. The area was closed to shipping due to the exercises "Maritime Interaction 2021", which took place from October 14 to 17 between the Russian and Chinese Navies.
The provocation was stopped by the large “Admiral Tributs” anti-submarine ship of the Pacific Fleet, which repelled the US Navy ship away from our borders. Obviously, the Pentagon was trying to demonstrate to the world that "America continues to keep the situation in all parts of the globe under control”, but it turned out to be the opposite. The American "vessel" was driven away like an annoying fly, confidently and without unnecessary emotions.
Already on October 17, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin went on a business trip to Romania, Georgia and Ukraine. On October 18 in Tbilisi, and on October 19 in Kiev, he said that Ukraine and Georgia "have an open road to NATO if the conditions of membership are met”. Austin said that Russia "started a war in eastern Ukraine," and therefore "the United States will do everything possible to support Kiev”.
Undoubtedly, the anti-Russian theses of the head of the Pentagon showed that the United States encouraged Ukraine to use force to resolve the conflict in Donbass: the NATO alliance, despite a series of failed provocations, intends to fight against Russia "to the last Ukrainian”. At the same time, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg, speaking at a conference following a meeting of the heads of the NATO Defence Ministry in Brussels, uttered a ridiculous phrase - that "Russia should not be afraid of Ukraine joining NATO, since it is a defence alliance”.
An assessment of the provocative statements of the representatives of the United States and NATO about Ukraine was immediately given by the Federation Council. The conclusions are indisputable and simple. The deployment of NATO on the territory of Ukraine will reduce the flight time of American missiles to major Russian cities to seven minutes. Russia considers the actions of the alliance as aggression, and will not allow the crossing of "red lines".
Confirming the commitment to double standards, along with the assurances of the representatives of the State Department about the "desire for peace", at the end of the second decade of October, the US military launched a provocation against Russia in Syria, and tried to get close to the Russian airbase. A column of American armoured vehicles was blocked by Syrian troops who demonstrated anti-tank missile systems to the Americans.
The US base in eastern Syria in the Al-Tanf zone is currently completely suppressed by an electronic warfare complex. In the location of the Americans and around the base at a distance of up to 70 kilometres, all radar stations, air defence locators, satellite communications and mobile phones stopped working.
The series of anti-Russian risky attacks was continued after Ukraine by other US satellites. On October 21, Polish political scientist Jakub Korejba publicly stated that today Europe should take advantage of the last chance "to reduce Russia's influence to the extent that it ceases to threaten”. According to the Polish analyst, Ukraine should serve as a "shield" in the event of a conflict.
Almost simultaneously with the "recognition" of Warsaw, German Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer called on NATO to take a "tougher stance against Moscow" and "make it clear that the alliance is ready for military measures”.
The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to the German Defence Minister's desire to talk to Russia from a position of strength, saying that such statements are unacceptable. The Russian Defence Ministry recalled that Germany had already tried to influence our country by force in the last century, and it ended badly for it, and Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu directly told Frau Kramp-Karrenbauer not to be rude to Russia, which defeated Germany.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a speech at a session of the Valdai discussion club, recalled that on June 22, 1941, Germany had already attacked the Soviet Union, which is why the Russians stormed Berlin in 1945. Speaking about the threat of World War III, Putin stressed that a nuclear apocalypse would lead to complete mutual destruction.
In the last days of October, Ukrainian troops entered the "grey zone", and, contrary to the agreements, occupied the village of Staromarievka, located in the "grey zone", and subjected local civilians, 37 of whom received citizenship of the Russian Federation, to violent actions.
Currently, roads in this area are blocked, and mobile communications are jammed by the Ukrainian side. There is still no up-to-date information about the condition of people taken hostage by the Ukrainian military. It is known from unofficial sources that Ukrainian troops are building a pontoon crossing over the Kalmius River, while shelling the territory of the DPR.
The United States continues what it started. These actions can only be regarded as the preparation of Kiev, subordinate to Washington, for an offensive. The distance from the place of the proposed crossing to the Russian border is about 25 kilometres.
The Ukrainian military, convinced by official propaganda about the possibility of a "blitzkrieg", will try to break through to the cordon. They expect to cut the territory of Donbass, which declared independence after the 2014 coup d'etat, into two parts, and with a high probability they will fall into the "cauldron".
Obviously, Washington is counting on Moscow's direct intervention: in order to stop the extermination of civilians, Russia will have to send troops. This would give Biden the opportunity to declare an "obvious invasion by the Russians", and urgently introduce into the country "at the request of President Zelensky" a NATO "peacekeeping contingent". Next, there will be negotiations on what the Russian Federation will withdraw and what will remain under NATO bases.
If the plan of American analysts is implemented, thousands of dead residents of Donbass, hundreds of destroyed soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as losses on the part of Russians, who, according to Washington's calculations, will have to intervene in the bloodbath to force Ukraine to peace, are likely.
Military bases with ballistic missiles aimed at Russian cities will be equipped on the territory of the former Ukraine, which will be captured by the West. Ukraine will cease to exist as a state, and the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will be blocked indefinitely. Freezing Europe will have to suffer, as "the world is in danger”.
The first days of November were also tense. Recall, according to Russia's decision, from November 1, in response to the reduction in the composition of the permanent mission of the Russian Federation to the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO missions in Moscow will be terminated. At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov explained that we will no longer pretend that any changes in relations with NATO are possible in the near future. For negotiations with Russia, the alliance will have to contact the Russian Ambassador in Belgium.
Kiev has already appointed Dmitry Yarosh, the former leader of “Right Sector”, as an adviser to the Commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny. Obviously, he is supposed to lead Washington's planned offensive on Donbass.
On November 2, under strange circumstances, a plane of a private Hungarian airline with Russian citizens on board, taking off from Budapest at a time when Moscow was not receiving planes due to thick fog, landed not in Minsk or St. Petersburg, but in remote Kiev, which severed air communication with Russia in 2015. The liner was sent back to Hungary. In the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the incident was regarded as another anti-Russian demarche, and court proceedings are pending.
On the same day, CIA Director William Burns arrived in Russia. According to the US media, US President Joe Biden sent him to Moscow to "notify the Russian authorities" that the US is monitoring an increase in military equipment and the number of personnel of the armed forces of the Russian Federation near the border with Ukraine.
Press Secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the director of the CIA. After Burns' departure, on November 3, the UAF intensified the shelling of Donbass. It can be assumed that the United States demonstrated by this strange trip to Kiev that they "keep everything under control" and encouraged the escalation of the conflict with the DPR and LPR.
The Pentagon marked the beginning of November at sea by the fact that the flagship of the US Sixth Fleet “Mount Whitney” and the "Poter” destroyer entered the Black Sea through the Bosphorus. It is noteworthy that this flagship appears in the Black Sea during the period of aggravation of international relations and keeps in touch with the rest of the US armed forces.
Russia's response was the exercises of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet "Yeisk" and "Kasimov" together with the Ka-27M anti-submarine helicopter, which carried out a search for the enemy and used torpedo and jet bomb weapons, as well as anti-aircraft missile and artillery firing at an aerial target.
The fact that Washington is provoking Moscow has become obvious to everyone, including Europe. The French “Marseille News” published an article in which the following is reported to the European reader: the constant provocations of the North Atlantic Alliance near the territorial waters of Russia force Moscow to patrol the Gulf of Mexico with the help of strategic aviation, which is a serious warning.
The world has changed, it has ceased to be unipolar. According to Fox News, 56% of Americans do not trust US President Joe Biden. According to surveys conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University, more than 60% of Americans are dissatisfied with the policy of their government. Rising prices for essential goods, the outrages of BLM and the energy crisis in Europe can spill out into popular unrest both in America and on the streets of European cities. The main demands of people will be the resignation of their own governments.
Washington can no longer claim to be a global hegemon. The United States agrees to the role of "peacemaker" and coordinator of everything that happens in the world. They need controlled chaos. In order to "restore order" in the world, the financial and political elite of the West needs a new victorious war.
The puppet government of Ukraine is ready to fulfil any criminal order of its leaders given from overseas. No one can say whether a local conflict will escalate into a nuclear armageddon, but it is obvious that the fate of humanity is at stake.
Russia has taken a tough stance against Kiev, because under the onslaught of provocations organised by the United States, our state has nowhere else to retreat. The Pentagon, as in 1962, once again puts the world on the brink of nuclear war. The responsibility for the growing tensions lies entirely with the administration of US President Joe Biden.
