The West and the Kiev regime will have to answer for genocide
Harper Lee wrote the novel To Kill a Mockingbird in 1960. This is a novel about racism and about people who look at this problem differently. In the course of the narrative, it speaks about how the white majority sentenced black Tom Robinson to execution in the electric chair for the rape of Mayella Ewell, which he did not commit. The defendant's lawyer before the jury was Atticus Finch. None of the evidence of Tom's innocence was taken into account by the court.
Here is the final scene of the episode about the trial:
“Atticus," said Jem bleakly. Atticus halted in the doorway.
"What, son?"
"How could they do it, how could they?"
"I don't know, but they did it. They've done it before and they did it tonight and they'll do it again and when they do it seems that only children weep".
As it can be seen, nothing has changed in that world. We see genocide, and there they don't see it. We record crimes against humanity, and they don't pay attention to it there. We spit blood, and they say there will be even more blood. They "have done this before and will do it more than once”.
The following seems monstrous. Terrorist acts were committed in the United States on September 11, 2001. Planes controlled by Islamists crashed into the buildings of the World Trade Center in New York and the US Department of Defence in Arlington. 2,977 people were killed, 24 were missing, and about 6,300 were injured.
After the terrorist attacks, the George W. Bush administration launched the so-called "War against Terrorism”. As part of the general military operation "Enduring Freedom", military operations were carried out in Afghanistan and Iraq, which led to the overthrow of the functioning governments. The fight against terrorism was not limited to these countries. Seven more countries and regions should be added here. The US military presence in a number of places continues to this day.
Back then Russia took into account the interests of the United States and its allies by providing a logistics corridor for the transfer of necessary goods through its territory. But, as it's already obvious, the gesture of goodwill turned out to be unnoticed.
We can compare. The US lost about 3,000 people. Because of this, а decent hunk of the world was plowed. In Donbass, the nazis killed 14,000 people. And at the same time we have to look at it in silence?
A special military operation has become a worthy response to the genocide of the population of the DPR and LPR, and of the whole of Ukraine in general. People living there are constantly subjected to the atrocities of the Kiev nationalist regime. Those who express disagreement are destroyed. The population of the DPR and LPR is now generally called "biological objects".
Just recently, the Ukrainian nazis launched missile attacks on Kherson and Izyum. “Tochka-U” ballistic missiles and high-power multiple launch rocket systems were used. According to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, air defence systems repelled the attacks. In the subsequent official statement of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, it was said that "Ukrainian strikes of an indiscriminate nature on residential areas in Izyum and Kherson are a war crime”. This is said properly. In a military way, briefly and accurately.
The fact that the nazis use weapons prohibited by international conventions against civilians, including those with cluster munitions, does not bother the West at all. It is not interested either in the use of weapons against the civilian population and civilian objects at all.
One of the conclusions is that in the destruction of the population of Ukraine, which has not reconciled itself to the ideas of neo–nazism, the Kiev regime receives the full support of this very collective West.
In the DPR alone, 72 civilians were killed and 57 wounded from April 22 to 29, 2022. 42 people were killed in the previous week. It is clear that the nazis are becoming more and more bestial. A total of 7,034 civilians, including 101 children, have been killed since the beginning of the Ukrainian aggression. Isn't this genocide?
It is precisely for stopping the genocide that our military, together with the people's militias of the DPR and LPR, are conducting a special military operation. Everything is correct. The tasks assigned to the Armed Forces must be fulfilled. This should apply to the entire territory of Ukraine. Otherwise, the neo-nazi madness will never stop. The perpetrators must be found and punished.
As the saying goes: the mills of God grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly small.
On April 25, 2022, at a meeting of the Board of the Prosecutor General's Office, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to prepare an evidence base on the crimes of nationalists in Ukraine. Here is his instruction: "I ask the Investigative Committee of Russia, all investigative bodies to record such crimes in detail, identify their organisers and perpetrators, initiate and bring criminal cases to their logical conclusion and to court." The evidence base should reflect data from the beginning of the coup in Kiev in 2014.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Aleksandr Bastrykin held a meeting in Lugansk on April 27 to investigate crimes committed by Ukrainian military and nationalists in Donbass and Ukraine. In total, about 800 criminal cases have been initiated on crimes against the civilian population of Donbass and the Russian military. More than 5,600 civilians were recognised as victims by military investigators alone, and the damage caused to them amounted to more than 4.8 billion rubles.
One of such major cases is about the genocide of the residents of the city of Shchastye in the LPR. Due to the artillery shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the end of February 2022, many people have died there, hundreds of residents have suffered. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case against Ukrainian servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under Article 357 (Genocide) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum sanction under the article is life imprisonment or the death penalty.
Prior to that, Aleksandr Bastrykin held the same meeting in Donetsk. Back then it was reported that in the proceedings of the prosecutor's offices of the DPR and LPR, there are in general, at least 6,000 such criminal cases.
The reckoning for what they have done is already catching up with the criminals. According to the head of the Investigative Committee, some sentences have already been announced. And what can be done with such inhumans? The media reported about the detention in Mariupol of a serviceman of the 36th Brigade of the Marine Infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Sergey Batynsky. In early April, the Ukrainian military detained a married couple at a checkpoint. Then Batynsky raped the woman, and shot her husband. Batynsky was detained by our security forces. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against him under article 356 (cruel treatment of civilians) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
How is genocide classified in the modern world?
According to the "Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide" (adopted by resolution 260 (III) of the UN General Assembly on December 9, 1948), genocide is understood (Article II): "... acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
a) Killing members of the group;
b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
What was in Ukraine before the start of the special military operation from the above-mentioned? An ethnic group of people united by various common characteristics, including a single Russian language, refused to obey the Ukrainian junta, which preached the theory of racial superiority and the Nazism hated by ethnic Russians, now with the prefix "neo". After that, due to the fear of physical, economic, cultural and other destruction by the neo-nazi regime, the ethnic group offered armed resistance.
Being in the minority, this group of people has been ruthlessly and with impunity destroyed by the opposing side for almost eight years. This is a very general description of events that can be widely expanded. In any case, genocide was committed (this is the word used in the Convention), without any signs of it. It was, period!
Genocide, according to the Convention, is a crime (article I) and it is punishable:
"Article III. The following acts shall be punishable:
a) Genocide;
b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
d) Attempt to commit genocide;
e) Complicity in genocide."
Persons who commit genocide are also punishable: "Article IV. Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals."
There are some differences in the wording of the genocide in Russian legislation, while respecting the general orientation with international documents.
And here is again the West with its "specific" view. Here some inversion of the opinions of local leaders is observed. Thus, American President Joe Biden at first did not consider the events (provocation of the Ukrainian nazis) in Bucha as genocide, referring to them as "war crimes". Then he still called what is happening in Ukraine genocide committed by Russia against Ukrainians. It was on the night of April 12-13. A day later, his assessment was repeated by former US President Donald Trump.
Then, on April 27 of this year, the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada adopts (unanimously) a resolution recognising the events in Ukraine as genocide. Of course, with the accusation towards Russia.
I wonder how long the same US or Britain would have remained indifferent to the fate of their fellow tribesmen? They would have intervened immediately. For some reason there is no doubt in it.
It turns out that this can and should be done with Russia. All by analogy with the unjust trial in "To Kill a Mockingbird". To make Russia wrong, even if it is right. They have been preparing for it a long time. They have been waiting for 30 years. During this time, they even managed to rewrite textbooks. They brought it to a level where fascist paraphernalia ceased to attract attention. It seems that only the Jews were worried together with us. Others already perceive what is happening as the norm. Soon, during the meetings of the leaders of the European Union and NATO they will begin to greet each other with a Sieg Heil.
But not everything is so bad. Characteristically, this attitude towards us is observed only in the West. In the East, Asia and Africa, the situation is assessed differently. They remember well the Western colonial policy, which was based, one more time, on the theory of racial superiority.
We have to be patient until the end of the slow work to identify all those responsible for the genocide by the Kiev nazi regime and its perpetrators. They will naturally be hiding from justice. It seems that European or some other organisations will not help us here. Again, we will have to do everything ourselves. Well, it's not the first time.
There is one more remark. They relate to three paragraphs of article III of the Convention. These are items "b" (conspiracy to commit genocide), "c" (direct and public incitement to commit genocide) and "e" (complicity in genocide). As the special military operation is being carried out, the number of crimes of the Kiev regime increases. The evidence base is also increasing. Sooner or later, documents will be found confirming the direct participation of Western countries in the commission of genocide. Words do not fit into the case, but the papers do. However, oral testimony can also be put on paper, signed and sealed.
After that, some of the Western "partners" will be pinned to the wall by facts and evidence. When the all points will begin their work, the "responsibility bearing", so unloved in criminal communities, will begin. It can be argued that there will be no collective responsibility here. It will be purely personal one.
Of course, the conversation with the culprits will be not easy and very unpleasant. Only the number of states whose leaders are complicit in crimes reaches 40. This is exactly the number of countries that took part in the "epic" meeting of NATO defence ministers and "sympathetic" states at the American Ramstein Air Base in Germany on April 26, 2022. But, as it seems, in this case, multiplicity does not mean correctness.
Now the right decision is demonstrated by Russia. There is still agreement in the camp of the enemy. All of them, through the efforts of the American aggressors, got bogged down in a swamp of ill-conceived decisions up to their ears. Perhaps it will be managed to get someone out of there, and some other will decide to stay there forever. Time and the special military operation will show.
A small historical remark – in the greatest battles, the one whose side Russia chose won. Now it is the people of Ukraine. Russia also knows how to win without allies. This can not be said, for example, about the Anglo-Saxons. The United States has never won serious wars alone.
One can object – Russia lost in the First World War. That's not exactly what happened. The people of Russia won the First World War by destroying capitalism as a fiend on their land and showing others the way to real freedom. The indestructible spirit of disobedience to any anti-popular and anti-democratic ideas had its effect. Everything else is collateral damage, which for such a huge country in the historical perspective turned out to be insignificant.
